Skeptic's Almanac
About This Novel
Milo has realized since he was a child that he is to a large extent a carbon copy of his father. This lonely middle-aged man lives in the same house as his wife and children, but seems determined to keep his distance from everyone. In this world, he is completely alone. He lives alone in this world and may leave alone at any time. Milo has always been able to imagine the surrounding world from six directions and determine his precise position in any three-dimensional terrain. Perhaps this skill was something he had gradually mastered over the years alone in the pathless forest. Did anyone else know this was happening? To him, these strange phenomena were like some kind of secret, some kind of power that was only revealed to him.
