Divergent

[One-sentence introduction] A miracle in the North American publishing industry. Four years after its publication, it still ranks among the top five in Amazon's youth category. In "Divergent", the world is divided into five factions based on the most beautiful qualities of human beings: selflessness, fearlessness, honesty, friendliness and erudition. The 16-year-old children complete the selection by cutting their hands and dripping blood, and must be loyal to the chosen faction for life. This part mainly describes the massacre of the Selfless Faction by the Dauntless Faction where Tris and Lao Si belong to because they were controlled by the Erudite Faction. In "Rebel", after experiencing the great changes of the selfless faction being bloodbathed, the five major factions have been divided. People fled to the Friendship Faction and the Honesty Faction to avoid disaster, but they were also hunted down by the Erudite Faction. At this point, the five major factions completely collapsed. The Erudite sect was swept away, and the factionless army rose. In the third film "Loyalty", Tris and her friends came to the world outside the fence and discovered that the world she lived in was a huge lie. Chicago was just a base for the US authorities to conduct genetic modification experiments... Tris and Laosi wanted to save the world, but they paid the heaviest price for it. "The Divergent Side Story" supplements the missing identity of the fourth child in the first three novels. The novel is told from the perspective of Lao Si, telling readers his deeply hidden secrets of life and inner feelings.
