The Silmarillion (hardcover Illustrated Book)
About This Novel
"The Silmarillion: Hardcover Illustrated Edition" is Tolkien's setting of the origin of the world of Middle-earth. It contains his ambition to create a creation epic for the English-speaking people. It was compiled and published posthumously by his youngest son Christopher Tolkien. The Silmarillion was created by the most talented elf, Fëanor. The Silmaril contains the Light of Valinor that once stood in the Two Holy Trees, the last remnant of an age before any corruption had occurred. The first Dark Lord, Morgoth the Fallen, stole them. The sons of Fëanor swore a blasphemous oath and insisted on leaving their homeland to wage war against their great enemy and seek revenge to the end. They persuaded the tribesmen to disobey the gods and cross the sea to fight.
