Later adapted into the movie Lord of the Rings "The Silmarillion" is Tolkien's setting of the origin of the world of Middle-earth. It contains his ambition to create a creation epic for the English-speaking people. It was compiled and published posthumously by his youngest son Christopher Tolkien.
