It's almost a description of the environment. Did the male protagonist have a fantasy after the shipwreck? It looks like they're on a ghost ship, and the crew can't communicate. It's like a historical reflection of the past.

There is definitely a crazy and depressing atmosphere. There is less plot, but sister? Companion? If there is no problem with the translation, it will be understood that if close relatives marry, the offspring will suffer from physical and mental diseases.
