About This Novel

Philip's parents died when he was young and he was adopted by relatives. What's more unfortunate is that he was born with a lameness. When he was a student, Philip was ridiculed and bullied by his classmates. He swallowed his anger and could only get spiritual comfort through reading. As an adult, he was overwhelmed by the many shackles in life that he could not break away from, escape from, or avoid: physically, he had difficulty moving; mentally, his faith collapsed; emotionally, he was repeatedly frustrated; at work, he fell into confusion... After a series of changes, Philip, who was in his thirties, finally accepted the imperfections of life and learned to move forward calmly while wearing the "shackles of human nature."

Shackles everywhere

I had never realized that there were so many shackles in life before. I just felt that everything was normal at every stage of life. Every existence has its meaning. After reading this book, I suddenly realized that in fact, everyone will encounter these shackles. At each stage of life, the key lies in how to treat and solve them. Even if some problems cannot be solved well Decisions must be made, but we must also try to think and make changes, because life is like a sophisticated and complex system, and the butterfly effect will definitely appear. Maybe the persistence that was originally determined will give rise to new insights after some small changes. Everyone's cognition will be different at each stage, and growth is always in progress.
