About This Novel

Hard-core, brain-burning, you won't know the truth until the last page. Writer Donato Carisi has won the SNCF European Detective Fiction Award, the Pocket Reader Award, and the Baccarella Award, Italy's highest award. It would have been an unusual day, when she and the boy she loved were about to confess their feelings to each other. But the road to school never ended. At the last glance, she saw that the kidnapper was a bunny-headed man with heart-shaped eyes. When she wakes up again, the psychological criminal profiler tells her that she has been found, but her memories are needed to find clues and catch the kidnapper. In this way, her nightmare can end. But before that, she must know one thing: fifteen years have passed since the kidnapping. In the past fifteen years, private detective Bruno has also been unable to escape nightmares. His nightmares stem from guilt. He betrayed the trust of the girl's parents. Now that the girl has been found, he should restart the investigation, but it's a pity. She hesitated in the maze of memory, and he raced against time in the maze of the past. An old case, a strange bunny-headed man. What will be waiting for them at the exit of the maze?

I read the whole story in one go. The plot is fascinating, the psychological activities of the characters are delicately portrayed, and the plot has twists and turns. I just want to find out. It is worth reading.
