Six friends bid farewell to their youth and regain a new life on a journey to chase a murderer. In 1997, on the eve of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, the young female teacher Nie Qian disappeared. At the age of sixteen, I was Nie Qian's favorite student and the last person to see her. As a lover of mystery novels, I concluded that the teacher was kidnapped by a taxi driver and taken to the coastline of Chongming Island, where he was in danger. That summer, I didn't know where to go after failing the high school entrance examination. I decided to go to Chongming Island to save the teacher and myself. But I am not alone, we are a group of "problem students" - four boys and two girls, each facing different youth dilemmas. Six teenagers traveled together to the dark night when the typhoon made landfall. This is a hormonal journey, a journey of self-redemption, a journey of witnessing history, and a rite of passage for our generation.
