About This Novel
James Kazburn, a farmer's boy, has dreamed of becoming a big shot since he was a child. After some hard work, he finally achieved some success and changed his name to Jay Gatsby. When he was a lieutenant in a military training camp, he fell in love with Daisy Fee, a popular lady. But when he returned after the war with military medals, Daisy had married the dandy Tom Buchanan. After some hard work, Gatsby eventually became a millionaire and bought a luxurious villa on the west end of Long Island, across the bay from the Buchannons who lived on the east end. Gatsby's villa was brightly lit every night, and guests gathered in groups to drink and have fun. But Gatsby's biggest wish every day is to see his lover who has been separated for five years. They finally reunited, and Gatsby thought they could relive their old dreams, but he slowly discovered that Daisy was far from perfect as he had dreamed. Afterwards, Daisy drove and killed Tom's mistress, and Tom blamed Gatsby. Gatsby was eventually killed, and Daisy didn't come to the funeral.
