Kawabata Yasunari is famous for his beautiful and delicate writing. He won the 1968 Nobel Prize for Literature. "Snow Country" (1935-1937) describes the physical and spiritual purity and beauty of the women at the bottom of the Snow Country, as well as the writer's deep sense of emptiness. This is a good book for close reading. I recommend it to you, hoping you will know that the starting point is not only fast food reading, but also these shining works in human history.
