About This Novel

This book tells the story of Stan, a young boy who was abandoned by his mother, who joined a traveling troupe to perform magic, and then defrauded money by co-starring in a psychic show with his female companion, and finally fell into the dark night. The poor eccentric in the traveling troupe abhorred and horrified young Stan Carlisle, who could not understand how a man could descend to such a state. He swore to himself that such a thing would never happen to him. Stan has brains, ambition, and a little cold-bloodedness, and he quickly stands out. Later, he fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the troupe and performed psychic shows together, and began to specialize in gullible rich people, providing private services in their mansions. Stan's world seems bright, with his house and money in his pocket, but the fate of the weirdo is waiting for him not far ahead.
