Post-london Talk
About This Novel
"Post-London" published in 1885 can be regarded as a classic example of early "post-apocalyptic novels": after a sudden disaster, the population of London dropped sharply, the countryside returned to nature, and the few survivors began to live a quasi-medieval life. In the first part "Falling into Barbarians" and the second part "Wild Britain", the author gives charming and detailed descriptions of the natural landscape after the disaster and the natural adventures many years later. Although the ruined foggy city described in it is still devastated by war and the people are in dire straits, it has inspired unlimited creative inspiration and passion for other science fiction writers. Morris, the author of the famous political fantasy novel "News from Utopia" and also Richard's good friend, wrote to Richard after reading this book. In the letter, he wrote, "Absurd hopes linger in my heart for a long time."
