Disqualified from the World
About This Novel
"Disqualification in the World", also known as "Disqualification as a Human Being", was published in 1948. It is an autobiographical novel. The delicate autobiography reveals the ultimate decadence and is a destructive masterpiece. This book contains various experiences in his short life and his inner confusion and struggle. Even though time has changed, the deepest despair still comes from the inner confusion, and this confusion and hesitation almost ran through the youth of Dazai Osamu and each of us. Therefore, this book is a cruel and eternal youth literature. However, after the confused soul was broken, some people chose to continue life in the hustle and bustle, and Osamu Dazai left poetically. From his works, you can understand the hesitation and despair of the past, and see the weak and eager self in our hearts.

Hypocrisy has been planted in our souls and there is no way to change it. Even if we hate something or a person, we pretend to be able to forgive and help. Even if we hate it, we always forgive. Just like the title of the book, human beings are out of place.
The culture of each place is really very different. Their sexual culture and hedonism are really difficult for us to understand, but what is sweet to you is arsenic to another.
I just feel that this kind of life is understandable, but I don't want to try it. It's very similar to knowing what kind of mood the author had in mind when he finished writing the work.
Thoughts after reading "Disqualification in the World"
This book is one of my favorites. Every time I read it, it gives me a different shock. Ye Zang, who plays the clown in that gray society, is the only normal person. As Osamu Dazai's pinnacle work, the feelings contained in it cannot be expressed in words. It can only be like two people looking at each other. It is worth a thousand words. I have exactly this feeling about Ye Zang. Confusion, fear and deep sadness. These things emanate from his every expression and every movement, which is something Mr. Lu Xun's articles do not have. When Ye Zang was a child, he was already keenly aware of the pathology of society, but he was too weak to resist and could only turn himself into a clown to cater to others. He has never been loved by others, not even his parents gave him any love. They just give their children clothes, shelter, food, and toys, just like gods giving things to mortals. Even if it is just a branch, mortals will be ecstatic, and gods will feel that they have done a good thing, because they have put down their bodies and given happiness to humble mortals - this is not love, this is called charity. In the entire society, Ye Zang seems to be an alien, despised by others, and even the younger generations dare to lecture him. But as I said before, this society is a sick society, and Ye Zang represents the kindness and sincerity of human nature. The various emotions he showed were exactly the emotions that people hide deep in their hearts and are least willing to face. Terrifyingly accurate. It doesn't matter if you make a mistake, but if you don't repent, that is the greatest sin. Ye Zang worked hard and struggled, but in the end he was defeated by the secular world. Even the sadness he showed at the end was not the cleanest and purest emotion. It is mixed with the author and Ye Zang's anger and helplessness towards this hopeless society. It's not him who's wrong, it's the whole world! The last question is almost a matter of faith. I don't mean simply religion, but all kinds of beliefs. I know people who live by faith. People who don't have faith are just zombies. Ye Zang gained his faith through his classmate Zhuyi. He was determined to express his inner depression through painting. But what followed was ridicule and criticism from family and friends. The weak character developed since childhood also made Ye Zang dare not resist. The seeds of faith are dead before they sprout. Even the love that he finally found was taken away by this society. When all hope is lost, the devil comes quietly. In the end, Ye Zang was defeated by the secular world, and the acting skills that had accompanied him throughout his life failed to allow him to survive in this society. In fact, in Dazai Osamu's heart, Ye Zang has not lost the qualifications to be a human being, but has no qualifications to be a human being. There is rare kindness and sincerity in him, but he cannot be redeemed. After all, the glory of human nature did not illuminate the society at that time, but was swallowed up by endless darkness. The redemption that Ye Zang pursues is the kindness of human nature; and what destroys Ye Zang is the ugliness of human nature.
This is probably Dazai Osamu's gentleness. She is obviously very gentle but is incompatible with this world.
He came from a sea of people. When he came, he brought wind and rain, so I had nowhere to hide. When he left, he disturbed the four seasons, and I was sick for a long time. It turned out that it was just to give me an empty joy.
Just one night apart, my heart was completely different.
There are some typos in the book
I think this book told me how sunny my life is, so I should use it to pursue my ideals, stay optimistic, and don't complain.
Reality in an absurd world
In fact, I didn't like the works of Japanese writers before, and I didn't like the malicious, gloomy and sad world they wrote. But recently I like it more and more, maybe it's because my mood has changed!
Xiaoye is a very good child.
