About This Novel
"The Wall Along the Yellow River" is the signed work of Yue Zhandong, the fourth contracted writer of Shanxi University of Literature. Since 2005, the author has visited more than a dozen counties (banners) in Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shaanxi, Shanxi and other places where the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty is located, inspected and visited many Ming Great Wall sites, and learned and mastered first-hand original field materials of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. He also conducted in-depth and detailed research on a large number of related books. On this basis, focusing on the 140-mile Yellow River border wall from Laoniu Bay in Pianguan County to Hequ County in Shanxi Province as a clue, the history of the construction of the Great Wall in 276 years of the Ming Dynasty and the formation of the frontier fortress culture were investigated and detailed, and a creative framework was constructed to write about the Great Wall from the "camp", highlight the historical background through historical figures and historical events, and describe the frontier fortress culture based on the author's experience. After more than two years of creation, "The Wall Along the Yellow River" has been completed, and this magazine will start to select it from this issue for the readers' pleasure.
