Woman in War

About This Novel
War is one country trampling on another country, one mother's child trampling on another mother's child; and a woman's body is another invisible battlefield. 1943, Rome. Although World War II had broken out, Cecila and her daughter Rosetta were unaware of the war approaching Rome. But soon, prices rose and food became scarce. In order to avoid starvation or being killed by planes, the mother and daughter fled to the countryside in a hurry. Along the way, the mother and daughter witnessed people betraying each other for petty profits, and also witnessed the degradation of kindness and integrity. Fortunately, they survived famine and war, and waited for news of the end of the war; unfortunately, on their way home, a greater disaster was waiting for them not far away.
