About This Novel
When there was a famine, they sold precious fans to satisfy their hunger. In 1961 AD (Xin Chou in the lunar calendar), the land of China suffered from a natural disaster that had not been seen in a century. There was famine in both urban and rural areas, and people fled everywhere. It snowed again in the ancient city. The citizens who had already tightened their belts and struggled to survive were exposed to snow again. They were really hungry and cold and miserable. But one person actually braved the wind and snow and strolled leisurely on the street. This man was in his thirties, neither fat nor thin. He wore a peaked cap, waved a plum blossom folding fan in his hand, and walked towards Huifu Street in the city with splayed legs. The fan was originally used to keep cool in summer, but he actually shook it on a snowy day. This person was either a madman or a monster. This man's name is Gu Sangeng, a fan collector who never leaves his hand all year round. He works as a collector in the city's cultural relics store, specializing in antiques, calligraphy and paintings.
