The final ending can only be said to be shocking. I didn't expect Cheng Xue's ending. When it was about to end, I thought everyone would have a new beginning. But in the end, it became everyone's regret. The contrast is quite big. The ending of the male and female protagonists is left to the readers to come up with their own ideas. I think they will still be together many years later. After all, as the book says, "If there is destiny, we will meet each other, and if there is love, we will stay together."
I gave up reading it when I saw that the heroine's favorite writer was Guo Jingming. In addition, the plot is a bit delayed and the dialogue is a bit chatty.
