Heaven: Welcome to My Hell

About This Novel
In school, I was punished for various reasons because of my strabismus. They kicked my knees and thighs, stepped on my stomach, and forced me to drink water from the pond and toilet. They said, "Your eyes are so disgusting, I'm going to punish you!" Whenever I do these meaningless things I always see their smiling faces lined up in a row. "As usual, it's no big deal." I comforted myself in my mind and waited for time to pass. I knew that even if I told my parents about this, they wouldn't be able to participate in my world. Even if I told them, things would never get better. But even though I did nothing, the situation got worse. They used the open stapler to press down the staples on my palms, leaving round marks on my palms that throbbed and hurt. They also sealed my head into a football leather and asked me to be kicked by them as a "football man". The blood on my head fell on the floor. Until one day, I received a note saying "We are friends" from Xiaodao, another bullied person in the class. Therefore, correspondence with the island became my only real happiness. At nights when I was troubled by uneasiness and couldn't sleep, when I was worried about the future and going to school but couldn't do anything about it, I would lie down and look at the bookcase, staring at the spine of the dictionary sleeve filled with letters. But what I didn't expect was that the island was dragging me into another level of hell...

In 25 years ago, I learned about this book about bullying through a post on Xiaohongshu, so I went to the Guangdong Library to look for it. I went there for two days in a row and cried once, and in the end I only finished half of it. After a year, I recently read it again in the library. It turned out that I had to read the last two chapters before it was closed. So I downloaded the electronic version and read it. The whole novel is about the male protagonist being bullied because of his squint, and he met another female classmate who was also bullied. The two became good friends. But in the end, when the male protagonist wanted to make a change and had squint, the female classmate turned around. Qu's perspective wants the male protagonist not to change, including that bullies have some ridiculous and distorted ideas to express their bullying. There is no problem, but the male protagonist who is naturally kind-hearted has a sense of right and wrong and does not agree with their distorted views. Fortunately, in the end, the male protagonist still went for surgery to make his life better, and he was able to see the world normally again and discover the beauty in it!
