The ending was unfair to Xuanyuan. He loved Lian so much and did so much for her, but all he got in exchange was for her to grow old together with someone else. I personally don't like the heroine's character. Although there are other reasons, I can't force myself to like her or understand her. Maybe I can understand what Lian Zai's father did (will). The person he loves so much is so dear to his heart, and the person he holds in his hands to dote on is not his daughter. How sad and angry should he be after knowing the truth? The male protagonist is rarely mentioned in the article, but in the end he falls in love with him, which can be considered happy.
I have the paper copy of this novel. I bought both the upper and lower copies. It's super good.
