About This Novel
During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the Zhu family and the Feng family in Qiandeng Town, Suzhou, were world-famous for making lanterns, and they fought endlessly based on their abilities. The Zhu family had no sons. In order to win over the Feng family, the head of the family, Zhu Shouxin, secretly sent away his newborn daughter Gan Mo as a slave and made the servant's son his heir, named Zhu Jialiang. Twenty years later, Gan Mo accidentally became the daughter-in-law of the Zhu family, and accidentally learned of her life experience, determined to take revenge. She vowed to become the lamp holder of the Zhu family and take revenge on her biological father, Zhu Shouxin, who favored sons over daughters. The only person who supported her was her husband, Zhu Jialiang. Later, in a series of lantern fighting competitions, Gan Mo relied on her extraordinary skills and with the full assistance of Zhu Jialiang, forced Zhu Shouxin to surrender and agreed that she would compete with the Feng family on behalf of the Zhu family.
