Bernadette, Where Are You Going (starring Cate Blanchett)
About This Novel
The movie of the same name will be released in North America on August 16, starring Cate Blanchett. I'm Biyi, I'm 15 years old. Our family is in Seattle and has almost all the conditions that a model elite family should have: my father is a technology genius, and his TED talk is ranked fourth in broadcasts; I am considered a genius child, with straight A grades, and prestigious schools are trying to get me before I graduate; my mother, Bernadette, is said to have a glorious past, but now I can only list 12 of her weird behaviors. She insisted that we live in an old house that was dilapidated, leaky, and overgrown with weeds. She never left the house, outsourced household chores to a virtual assistant in India, and had a fight with her neighbor... In two days, our family was going to travel to Antarctica. A series of strange things happened on the eve of departure, making Bernadette a dangerous person in the community. But the strangest thing is that she disappeared in the toilet at home...

Looking at life from the perspective of a 15-year-old girl, she still retains a moderate degree of innocence and cuteness, which is the young mind that I long for. Life is impermanent, and we need to rely on our wisdom and wisdom to give ourselves stronger support through mountains and seas.
