About This Novel

This book is a full-length novel, set in the ancient city of Changsha at the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China. Through the perspective of the protagonist "Peng Yazi", it describes the wonderful battles between the various factions of the Revolution of 1911, in which three religions and nine schools took turns to fight. It reproduces the tensions during the historical turning point a hundred years ago, and also depicts the bustle and bustle of the wide streets and narrow alleys of Star City in various forms. How are officials in and outside the city? How about gentleman? How is the army? How are the people? The officials, gentry, soldiers and civilians danced, and the evil forces of Tiangang and Earth disturbed the Star City. The author attempts to recreate the "Three Talents Picture Meeting" a hundred years ago under the complicated historical background: the "Refugee Picture" of rural people moving into the city; the "Dialogue Picture" of the game between the revolutionary party and the constitutionalists; and the "Qingming Riverside Picture" of citizens and the market.
