During the chaotic times of the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, vassal towns were divided and attacked each other. In fifty-four years, the Central Plains region experienced five dynasties in chaos, and more than ten small countries coexisted with them. It is known as the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms in history. After decades of great division, great melee, and great destruction, the countryside has been desolate and lives have been devastated. In the first month of the seventh year of Xiande in the Later Zhou Dynasty (AD 960), Zhao Kuangyin, the general of the Later Zhou Dynasty, launched the Chenqiao Mutiny under the planning and command of his brother Zhao Kuangyi and his close aide Zhao Pu.
