About This Novel

This book tells the life experience of Confucius, and the story behind "The Analects" is only a part of his life experience. This book is divided into five chapters based on Confucius' life experience: studying, establishing studies, practicing studies, studying abroad, and studying, almost all of which are related to teaching. On the surface, this book is a chapter-style novel telling the story of Confucius. In fact, it also contains the author's research experience on The Analects and Confucius' thoughts. Therefore, in a sense, this book can be regarded as an "academic novel"-it is both story telling and academic interpretation. This kind of expression that combines logic with facts is very interesting, allowing readers to outline a vivid image of a saint with outstanding personality through a series of wonderful stories such as the establishment of a teaching in Xingtan, the governance of Zhongdu, the alliance in Jiagu, and the travels to various countries, and allow readers to deeply understand what Confucius thought, said, and did as a historical figure in the real historical environment.
