About This Novel
Throughout Yuan Shikai's life, it can be roughly divided into four important stages: stationing in North Korea and serving as the plenipotentiary representative of the Qing court in North Korea. His personal talents were demonstrated to a certain extent and attracted widespread attention from the government and the public; Members of the New Party took advantage of this to obtain qualifications and became governor-general of Zhili and minister of Beiyang, and then were awarded the title of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Military Aircraft. After resigning from office and returning home, they made a comeback and successively served as prime minister of the Qing court, interim president of the Republic of China, and official president.
