This book is a full-length novel. It is the work of Mr. Wang Dulu. The manuscript is divided into upper and lower volumes. The first volume: Fenmo Chanjuan, the second volume: Xia Meng Li Hun. The content is set in the Republic of China period and tells the story of the love tragedy between newspaper editor Fang Meng and famous opera actress Wei Fangxia. The work has created many vivid literary images: the beautiful, cowardly but talented Wei Fangxia, the kind, sentimental and honest Fang Mengyu, the blind uncle who makes a living as a fortune teller, the honest and upright Sai Xiaolou, and the conservative and ignorant old lady Wei. The work uses the characteristic literary language of the Republic of China period to tell a touching love story.
