About This Novel

Aimee's childhood was not happy. Her mother eloped with others and her father was addicted to drinking and gambling. Therefore, she learned to be independent from an early age and to be decisive and brave in doing things. Her father tried to sell her because he lost money gambling, and she ran away. But how to live is a problem. She saw an advertisement for a tutor, so she fabricated a letter of recommendation to apply, and was lucky enough to be hired. Cochran was a colonel who had spent most of his life at sea, eventually becoming a captain, but was discharged due to an injury. Returning to his hometown, he became an earl and wanted a wife, so he posted an advertisement for a tutor to find someone suitable.
