To give Aida a chance would be to be cruel to oneself, so the demon hunter Geralt did not give them a chance, but fought hard to kill him without giving him a chance. After the battle, Geralt was very tired.
Ida monsters are unique predators. Other predators may let it go when they see a small prey and let it grow up to hunt again. However, Ida monsters are not like this. They live for hunting.
