About This Novel
The protagonist of the novel is an unsociable physicist who is anxious about whether his university contract can be renewed; his wife Nora is an enthusiastic and extroverted interior designer with the warmth to pull people out of their "cave". After Ms. A, the nanny who had been together for many years, fell ill and passed away, the seemingly harmonious family began to disintegrate invisibly. The two no longer rubbed shoulders, and the late-night conversations over a glass of red wine became memories of the past...
