About This Novel
The first time Juanjuan went to the city to sing a self-music class was when she went to her second aunt's house. The second aunt's home is in the downtown area of the city. There is a square next to it, a vegetable market, and a variety of trendy shops. After having dinner and clearing away the pots and pans and the odd chores in the house, Juanjuan took her second aunt downstairs to enjoy the cool air. When we came to the street, the lights on the roadside and the neon lights in front of the shops gradually lit up, and people who had finished dinner began to gather in the square in a leisurely manner. In the middle of the square is a billboard. Under the billboard is a lotus-shaped musical fountain. A group of old men and women dressed in fancy clothes dance to the rhythm of the music, looking very much like the shadow puppets played during the New Year in the countryside.
