About This Novel

This book is based on two real historical events that occurred in Beijing in January 1912. The novel tells the complicated and confusing historical story of the life-and-death struggle between the Xinhai Revolutionary Party Assassination Group and the Zongshe Party and Yuan Shikai camp headed by Liangbi for their respective political interests. It creates an image of a dead soldier of the Revolutionary Party who overthrew the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty and pursued democracy and republic. The novel won the first prize for the National Outstanding Novel Award in the "Legends of Modern and Ancient Times" in 2018.
