The marital crisis between middle-class housewife Mildred and her husband Bert was aggravated by the sudden strain of the economic situation, and they had to break up sadly. Mildred raised two daughters alone and was almost destitute due to unemployment many times. What supports her is her eldest daughter Veda's beautiful and intelligent talent, extraordinary musical talent and a certain arrogant temperament that seems to transcend her current class. For Veda, Mildred ignited all her energy - whether it was working as a waiter, opening a shop, or using her beauty to seduce men, all in the end to fulfill Veda's ambition. However, Mildred gradually found that she had walked into the trap she had dug. Is Veda an angel in desperate need of a pair of wings, or a poisonous snake that will bite her benefactor when she turns around? Or is she both?
