About This Novel

In 2011, with the best-selling book "The Loneliness of Prime Numbers", Paolo Giordano, an Italian post-80s Ph. D. In physics, made Chinese readers remember him. In fact, "The Human Body" came five years after his debut novel "The Solitude of Prime Numbers" was published in Italy. During these five years, Giordano has been looking for the subject of his next book. It wasn't until he followed the troops to the front line of the war in Afghanistan that the short ten days left a very impactful impression on him and he made a friend of his own age. He found what he really wanted to write about - in fact, every generation will experience its own war. "The Human Body" is a novel about "war", but it does not stop at the literal "war". In addition to the smoke-filled battlefield, Giordano touches more on invisible wars between people, emotional wars, and wars between families... Every character in the book has experienced a painful transformation, from young people who are inexperienced in the world to eventually finding themselves transformed into adults who are unfamiliar to themselves, and have to bear responsibilities that they do not want or are not ready to bear.
