About This Novel
In the summer of 2018, an obstetrics and gynecology friend told me a story. The protagonist of the story is Erhuan. Her mother is stupid and her father is old and goes out to work all year round. As a left-behind child, she was sexually abused by her father's friends since she was a child. She was young and ignorant, and she didn't even know that she was pregnant and about to give birth. After hearing what happened to Erhuan, I thought of Lian Huan who had a similar experience to her in my hometown, so I came up with the idea of writing the story "On the Bank of Qingshui River, There Was a Female Lian Huan". As I wrote in the introduction to this story: A woman's life is a long song, with joys and sorrows, ups and downs, and loops. Now to sort it out, the highlight of this story is that in addition to the sexual assault of acquaintances, I also want to show the warmth between people by the Qingshui River: for example, Grandma Yulan's story about Yu Lianhuan. Through this story, what I want to express more is: the fate of the people at the bottom is really insignificant in the face of the progress of the times.
