"The Legend of Mei Lan" is a novel written by Master A Ge in the Qing Dynasty. It tells the love and marriage story of Mei Xuexiang, Lan Yiyi and Gui Rui. The book was written in the 10th year of Daoguang's reign (1830). The Mei and Lan families are on good terms, and Xuexiang, the son of the Mei family, and Yiyi, the daughter of the Lan family, are ordered by their parents to enter into a marriage agreement.
