About This Novel
For a long time, I have not been free. I have probably forgotten the sky, and I have never seen the stars. Even the big trees on the avenue seem to be the same. The only things that I am most familiar with are the serious faces of adults, the nagging voices of mothers, and the roars of adults scolding children. We hate this kind of life, but we don't care about it... Adults often say: "Children of your generation are so happy. Unlike ours, food and clothing cannot be solved. You really want the wind and the rain now." Indeed, in the eyes of adults, we are people who are born in blessings and do not know how to be blessed. But do adults really understand us? They often say "they will be laid off at any time." But even us thirteen- and fourteen-year-olds have to face "competition." This is an era of survival of the fittest, and it is no longer the era where we lived by plowing fields and raising pigs. In the eyes of adults, we are very happy and carefree.
