There are only two things you need to forget someone, time and new love. You chose new love, and I chose time. The white one is a grain of rice sticky on the clothes, but the red one is a cinnabar mole on the heart.
Zhang Ailing's "transparency" to the bone makes people feel chilled. I would like to pick up a little bit of warmth in the world and hit the road. Let the lily-like fragrance blend into the snowy winter. For example, a kind word, a greeting, a reminder, a smile, a blessing, a touch... Looking for beauty, discovering beauty, understanding beauty,⋯⋯ Care less, be more forgiving, move forward with happiness and emotion in your heart...
The meanest mouth - [Love in a Fallen City]
"Love in a Fallen City" is Zhang Ailing's early work. Most of the stories are set in Shanghai and Hong Kong, where Zhang Ailing stayed. These two places also had particularly distinctive characteristics of the era in Zhang Ailing's time. All the stories also incorporate the modern semi-colonial characteristics. The stories in it range from the first incense burner to the love in the city. The stories may or may not be together, but Zhang Ailing's writing style is mostly sad, and the protagonist's fate that changes for love is often lamentable. Take the First Incense Burner as an example. The heroine changed herself for the hero and sacrificed too much of the beautiful destiny that originally belonged to her as a student for him. If we want to be mean, let's take Zhang Ailing as the leader. She punctured what the entire female community knew it was afraid to say. I think the most realistic sentence in the whole story is: "No matter how good a woman is, if she cannot get the love of the opposite sex, she will not get the respect of the same sex." I don't know how you understand this sentence, but in my opinion, the merits of integrating specific backgrounds, specific ideas, and women's ideas are probably inseparable. What can you remember about Zhang Ailing's words? Do you think her words were a bit mean?
One lifetime of glory and half a lifetime of destiny
Although the various short stories are not long, they can give people a great shock. I have read all kinds of splendid love stories written by Zhang Ailing, and also seen all kinds of characters with vivid lives in her works. In general, I have indeed written a lot of stories about Hong Kong. It also took me to understand what Hong Kong was like during that period and how the various women in her works lived.
A classmate has this book and borrowed it to read a few articles. Don't quite understand?
I like Zhang Ailing very much, but I think her love is a bit sad.
❤️
Everyone has a different life
I like Zhang Ailing very much, and of course the novel is no exception.
