About This Novel

Why are such excellent women always denying themselves? In their eyes, I am a deviant poet, an enigmatic cultural icon, an otherworldly classical muse, and a much-sought-after oracle. But in my heart, I will always be a cowardly and submissive housewife, a liar who escapes reality, a clown who creates illusions, and an overweight girl who everyone hates. I am Joan Foster, and I am thousands of women. This is my story and what every woman has been, is, and will go through.

Although Joan has a timid character, she has been acting boldly, eating fat to fight against her mother, working and running away from home, writing novels to support herself, and even faked her death to escape in the end. She has always been a brave woman, always acting according to her own will, and the world has never changed her and her heart.
