Mengmeng was awakened by an intermittent dull knocking sound. She crawled out of bed and walked barefoot to her mother's bedroom, where she found her mother was not there. Mengmeng sat on the ground and choked for a while, then pulled on her pink high heels and walked towards the door. She pulled the door bolt hard, and the heavy and creaking wooden door opened a slit, letting in the autumn wind. Mengmeng couldn't help but sneeze. Stepping sideways across the threshold, looking at the deserted alley, Mengmeng softly called her mother... And two crystal tears suddenly fell from her eyes. The first person to see Mengmeng was Wenxi who went to He's Restaurant to deliver tofu early in the morning. As soon as she entered Baipu Alley carrying a pole, she looked up and saw Mengmeng curled up outside the gate, wearing a large pajamas and holding a pair of huge-looking high-heeled shoes in her hand, looking pitiful.
