In November 1951, Shanghai Yibao published a single volume; after being rewritten by Zhang Ailing, it was serialized in the "Crown" monthly magazine from February to July 1967 under the title "Wang Ran Ji". In July 1969, Crown Publishing House published a single volume, renamed "Half Life".

I didn't expect to finish reading it
I came across this book when it was on a limited sale. I read it on and off for a week and unknowingly read it to the end. I just felt full of bitterness. This is not only a love tragedy, but also a tragedy for women trapped by the times. No one in that era had a happy ending.
The faint resentment seems to be on the surface, but there is a hint of tenacity.
