About This Novel
I heard that some tomatoes sold in the market are red and big, and they are sprayed with chemicals, so they are not green food. I don't believe it. I happened to have an open space in my yard, and I wanted to grow my own green food tomatoes. Lao Bi, a senior engineer at the Municipal Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was my high school classmate, so I called him and told him. A few days later, Lao Bi came with a smile on his face, carrying a cardboard box, and opened it to see that it was a box of tomato seedlings. Lao Bi said: "This is a newly cultivated variety, and it is the best variety." After the seedlings were planted, they grew well. When it's time to bear fruit, every tree has tomatoes. But later I discovered that those tomatoes grew too slowly. A week has passed and not much has changed. Two weeks have passed, and it still hasn't grown much. The color is only green with a hint of pink, not too red to look good.
