An Unforgettable Trip to Lijiang
by Cheng Quan
About This Novel
If I hadn't slept until noon that day, these things wouldn't have happened. That was my fourth trip to Lijiang. If you ask me why I went there four times, I can't explain it. Anyway, something is stirring in my subconscious. Of course, the main reason is just that I like Lijiang, the laziness there, and the good air there. I have been squatting in Lijiang for six or seven days. I sleep until I wake up naturally every day. I don't go anywhere. I like to sit by the stream and stare at people in a daze, which is better than anything else. I don't like to go to bars because they are too noisy. That day, it was already past 12 noon when I woke up. As usual, I went to Baisui Bridge to relax. After walking out of the inn in Mufu, I bought two daddies, one to feed myself and the other to feed the fish. Except in the middle of the night when even the dogs are too lazy to bark, Lijiang is always lively.
