About This Novel
Difficult times will pass, but love will always be there. From the time Elsa can remember, she has been lonely. She has tried very hard to be liked, but has never been truly loved. Her parents think she is too tall, too thin, too pale, too lacking in self-confidence, and treat her as an outlier in the family; her husband only sees his own dreams, and her daughter does not understand her, but often gets angry at her. To make matters worse, it's as if the land and society hate her too, with the Dust Bowl, the Great Depression, drought and endless prejudice and discrimination. But even in the worst circumstances, she still wants to find love. Wanting to re-recognize and explore who she is in love, even if it costs everything... She is a daughter, a mother, a wife, a woman and a warrior.
