About This Novel
"Qin Shaoyou's Poems and Articles" is an annotated version of prose by Qin Guan, a famous writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was selected and annotated by Liu Yonggang and Wu Yanan. The book contains sixty-five articles, divided into fifteen categories: "Ci Fu", "Advancing Policy", "Advancing Theory", "Zhuan·Shuo", "Qi", "Jian", "Wen", "Shu", "Zhi Ming", "Praise", "Postscript", "Book", "Notes", "Preface" and "Miscellaneous Categories". The characteristics of "beautiful and thoughtful" as well as the worldly spirit of his writings are presented to the readers. The annotations in the book are very precise, and there is also a "general comment" column to introduce the background of the poem and an overall introduction. There is also a "commentary" column to collect ancient and modern comments for readers' reference. It is an excellent popular reading book of classical literature.
