Six Chapters of a Floating Life (collection Edition)
by (qing) Commentary By Shen Fu And Li Yan
About This Novel
"Six Chapters of a Floating Life" is an autobiographical prose written by Shen Fu, a native of Changzhou in the Qing Dynasty, in the 13th year of Jiaqing (1808). The original book was in six volumes, but today there are only four volumes of incomplete manuscripts. The second dictionary of "Floating Life" comes from Li Bai's poem "Preface to the Spring Night Banquet from My Brother's Peach and Li Garden": "Heaven and earth are the reverse journey of all things; time is the passerby of hundreds of generations. And floating life is like a dream, how much joy is there?".

Haven't watched it yet
I saw it said elsewhere that "No one stands with me at dusk, and no one asks me if my porridge is warm." I got the inspiration from this book, come and take a look!
Reading this book feels like going back to my previous life. If I had a previous life, I would like to go boating on the lake with my sweetheart and enjoy the bright moon together!
"Six Chapters of a Floating Life" is an autobiographical essay of extremely high standard and great influence, occupying a very important position in Qing Dynasty notebook literature. The book is characterized by its purity and frankness, unique expression of spirit, informality and creativity. This creativity is first reflected in its subject matter and description objects.
Yu's nature is straightforward and uninhibited; Yun is like a rotten Confucian, pedantic and formal. If you want to wrap your clothes and straighten your sleeves, you will always say "offended" in a continuous voice; if you hand someone a scarf or a fan, you will get up to receive it. Yu Shi was disgusted with it and said: "You want to bind me with courtesy? You said: 'Too many courtesy will lead to deception'." Yun's cheeks turned red and said: "Respect is polite, why should you say deceit?" Yu said: "Respect is in the heart, not in vain." Yun said: "Dear relatives, don't do it in vain. Just like parents, how can we be respectful inside but let loose outside? Yu said: "Introduction to the ear of drama." Yun said: "Rebellion in the world is often caused by drama. Don't blame concubines later, which will make people depressed to death!" Yu Nai took her into her arms, comforted her, and then she smiled. Since then, "how dare" and "offend" have become idiom particles.
Good book, worth reading.
In Volume 1, the article about the Half-Ghost Festival in July, "Two days of difficulty" is wrongly translated as two months. One month should be ten days, which fits the following paragraph about the couple recovering from illness and visiting Canglang Pavilion in the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The floating life of Shen Sanbai
There are six strategies in floating life, and there is Yunniang in Sanbai. What more could you ask for? The mortal world rises to the sky.
Yun Niang is truly the cutest person
Avoid sweating papaya. If you sweat, wash it with water. Just translate it directly into "Papaya cannot sweat. After sweating, wash it with water." Is this papaya refined?
I don't know where my love started, but I love you deeply
