About This Novel

Tang poetry is not only the peak of the development of Chinese classical poetry, but also exerts a sustained and far-reaching influence in East Asian countries, especially Japan. This book conducts research on the text form of Japanese Tang poetry documents, and collects, authenticates and proofreads the precious Tang poetry documents collected in Japan. It mainly starts from three aspects: the first is the study of the text of the old banknote version of "Bai's Collected Works"; the second is the examination of the text form and musical attributes of "New Yuefu" and so on; the third is the lost collection of Sui and Tang Yi poems found in Japan and the identification of forgeries. Through these three special studies, new materials on Tang poetry discovered in recent years and new conclusions obtained by using new methods are presented to the academic world.
