About This Novel

The editor was Hengtang Tuishi (1711~1778), a scholar of the Qing Dynasty. His original name was Sun Zhu, with the courtesy name Linxi and Daxi, his nickname was Juetang, and his later nickname was Tuishi. His ancestral home is Xiuning, Anhui, and he was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu. The translators and annotators are Shi Liangzhao, Cao Minggang, and Wang Genglin, all of whom are editors and reviewers of Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House.
