About This Novel

The editor was Hengtang Tuishi (1711~1778), a scholar of the Qing Dynasty. His original name was Sun Zhu, with the courtesy name Linxi, Yizi Daxi, his nickname Juetang, and later his nickname Tuishi. His ancestral home is Xiuning, Anhui, and he was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu. The translators and annotators are Shi Liangzhao, Cao Minggang, and Wang Genglin, all of whom are editors and reviewers of Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House.
