About This Novel

This book is one of the "Word Series". Wang Guowei was a famous scholar in modern China. He is an outstanding historian, paleographer, and an outstanding literary theorist. His "Human Words" is the most influential work on literary criticism in modern times, and he strives to implement his aesthetic theory in his creative practice. There are only 115 Wang Guowei's poems in existence, most of which are Xiaoling poems. His poems are "probably deeper in meaning than Ou (Yang Xiu), but inferior to Qin (Guan) in terms of context". They are true to form and have a lot of "created context". Also attached is an introduction by Professor Chen Yongzheng of Sun Yat-sen University.
