About This Novel
"Lost Zhouzhuang" is set in Zhoucun, a small village in Jingnan area (Jianli), and narrates the rural life that is about to or has passed away. With the process of modernization and industrialization of Chinese society, the agricultural era has gradually faded away. Traditional rural China is facing unprecedented erosion and annexation. Some industries with the most representative local cultural symbols are rapidly disappearing. Therefore, looking back at hometowns, caressing the countryside, reminiscing about childhood innocence, outlining the deepest and widest desolate land in China, interpreting the most original and traditional characters in the desolate land, and showing the most ignorant and simple mental journeys among the characters have become the goals pursued by "Lost Zhouzhuang".
