I read it in one go and found the answer I wanted.
Before seeing Magnolia officinalis, I watched every character with skin and soul. Then, I found myself in Magnolia officinalis. Then I saw the author himself. The answer I'm looking for is the title of the last chapter.
Books that cleanse the soul
I like this book very much. It helps me to take the right path steadily when I am confused and hesitant at the intersection of life.
The book "Skin" by Tsai Chong-tat
The author wrote this book based on his own experience, experience and wisdom. The content is full of flesh and blood, including relationships between people, people's attitudes towards things, the impact of external changes on oneself, changes in difficult times, and full explanations of dreams and responsibilities. Sometimes when I think about it, it is easier to resonate with the author and gain a deeper understanding of the world and outlook on life. This life is not easy. No matter you are poor or rich, perfect or incomplete, you must cherish what you have and work hard to create what you will have in the future, because the train of time is always moving at a high speed. Once lost, there will be only memories. Come on!
Skin
The writing is very good and I like it very much, but I really can't understand the mentality of constantly repairing the house for the sake of face...
Books are really like a lamp that illuminates the reader's heart. This book shines into my heart. I have never known what success means, and I don't know how to deal with the trivial matters in the process of chasing dreams. But after reading this book, I seem to have a force to run towards the light more bravely in the darkness. Thanks to the author
I just read this book. Didn't Chapter 6 say that his father passed away? Why does the next chapter say that the father who suffered a stroke is back?
Soul - Comment on "Skin"
In the book introduction of "Skin", there is this sentence: The style of the collection is calm and expresses the deep thinking of this young man who has inflated dreams but is deeply aware of the reality and has no place to settle down, about his own destiny. I think many people picked up this book because they were guided by this "young man with an expanded mind but nowhere to settle." "Ideals are full, reality is skinny." This sentence became popular a few years ago. To this day, this sentence is still active on many people's WeChat, Weibo, and Moments. This sentence, which seems like a joke, has survived for so long because it expresses the feelings of many people. Whether we are talking about plumpness and skinny, or about ideals and reality, these seemingly contrasting words are connected in a certain sense. When you lose weight, you become skinny; when you become skinny, you become plump. The same goes for ideals and reality. Ideals are for people who live in reality; reality is what people with ideals face. Just like what Sanmao wrote in "Dear Sanmao": Ideal is a bumpy road that we walk on step by step. When reading "Skin", you are reading about the author's life. The stories engraved in the author's heart are all derived from the warmth and ups and downs of human relationships he has experienced. As the most ordinary person, Cai Chongda, in this ordinary world, experienced suffering while enjoying the love, family and friendship in the world. Those feelings of regret, incomprehension, sympathy, or withdrawal of love eventually turned into memories and wealth in ordinary days, tempering the author's unyielding will and unruly soul. In the process of reading this book, you will feel sorrow or regret along with the words in the book. After reading it, you will inevitably feel a little stuck in your heart. The feeling in your chest that you can't take a breath or swallow it, became my final memory of this book. Life may be a journey of carrying this heart in a skin. "Skin" has the charm of making people voluntarily turn the low loneliness into the loneliness of self-willing loneliness. Those words that cut through the pain over and over made me feel loneliness and enjoy it at the same time. Loneliness is everywhere in the book. The old lady, the disabled father, the tough mother... The old lady is lonely when she says: "The body is for use, not for serving"; the disabled father is lonely after he changes from the mainstay of the family to a "oil pump". If A Tai was not lonely, we would not be able to see A Tai's detachment from life; if his father was not lonely, we would not be able to see his father's desire to walk; if the mother was not lonely, we would not be able to see her mother's persistence in building a house; if Zhang Meili was not lonely, she would not commit suicide. Because of loneliness, we have to live with various masks. Especially when we combine "loneliness" with "midlife crisis", "youth confusion" and "teenager confusion", it is easy to develop a sense of loneliness that "the soul has nowhere to rest". It can be said that it is a skin with multiple masks. However, I don't think loneliness is a negative thing. Compared with loneliness, people without thoughts and souls scare me more. Only loneliness reflects the contradictions and confusions between people. Those souls bursting out in pain are the most precious things of human beings. It is precisely because of loneliness that we realize that the most beautiful scenery in the world is the people who live out their own styles and systems. The book "Skin" seems to tell us that what kind of life is not that important, pain and happiness are not that important, and the clarity and satisfaction of the soul may be the most important.
"A good skin is the same a thousand times, but an interesting soul is only one in a thousand." This is a sentence I like very much, and I was lucky to meet it in the library.
Each of us has a skin. Only when we get rid of the skin and gain the sublimation of the soul can we have a different self. Life is like a trickle. Every drop, the value of life and the meaning of life are revealed. The most important thing for a person is not to really get a good skin, but whether he can enrich his soul in the process of pursuit! Get rid of your skin, live your true self, and realize your true value!
