About This Novel
The articles included in this book are divided into four series. The "Reading People" part is based on personal experience and first-hand materials, mainly involving my father who is an editor and his familiar writer friends; the "Worldly Experience" part is personal experience, including going to the countryside, employment, traveling to the United States, and retirement life; the "Reading" part includes old cases and reading notes. And film reviews, which involve Liu Dajie, Cheng Hexi's entanglement with Lu Xun, and Wu Qingyuan's national integrity, each of which is clarified based on never-before-seen information; the "translation" part was roughly written in the 1980s. At that time, the author was generally concerned about Japanese literature, so the translation also included different literary genres.
